The Viking Ship 'Hugin' near Ramsgate. It is a replica Viking Ship which was rowed and sailed from Denmark to Broadstairs in 1949.

I was there when "Hugin" left Esbjerg for her last voyage. I was very excited to see her again, and happy to hear that she is being refurbished.

- Viking Ship Hugin
My father was one of the oarsmen who rowed Hugin from Esbjerg in Denmark to England in 1949. My family visited Ramsgate to see the ship in 2004 and was pleased to hear that is was going to be refurbished soon. It was a big part of my fathers life having participating in the event. We now understand that it is back again and hope to come back again to see it one day.

I was an 8 year old on Broadstairs sands when the "Vikings" marched up the beach. My father lifted me over the rope and an enormous hairy man shook my hand
